Trauma specialist | Trainer | Consultant
I consider myself very fortunate and I am immensely grateful to have been mentored, supervised, and taught by some of the best clinicians and pioneers in trauma treatment today. These gifted teachers and thought-leaders have all significantly shaped my understanding and approach to working with individuals profoundly affected by the devastating and pervasive effects of trauma.
Working with individuals who suffer from PTSD or complex trauma at my Oxford trauma clinic is a privilege. Each week, I witness and help heal some of their most painful experiences. Their resilience and courage teach me invaluable lessons about the human capacity for healing, no matter how horrific the experience. And their lived experience that I witness helps to validate or challenge current trauma treatment modalities, ensuring that my practice always remains grounded in reality.
My journey started nearly 25 years ago, like many of my patients and colleagues, on my own trauma healing path as I was bought to my knees from severe, horrific, and disturbing PTSD symptoms. For over a decade of this journey, I dedicated myself to my clinical practice and to founding and directing the largest clinical content provider in the UK and Europe, aiming to help therapists provide the best psychological care and to understand trauma treatment and mental health from every angle. In 2024, I left my company to co-develop a Psychology and Trauma MSc at University College London, and to further pursue my passion for training, presenting, and disseminating the latest research-backed trauma knowledge and education.
I hope you’ll join me on this exciting next step of my lifelong journey…
